It has come to my attention that they don’t have The Boondocks in Australia.  That is tragic.  Fear not Joders, I found a clip for you.

In this “what if” episode, MLK was not actually killed but rather fell into a coma and woke up to find himself in the 21st century.  Here he is talking about the old days with the Freemans.

(BTW, this was the least offensive episode I could find.  I don’t want to give you a heart attack or anything.)

  1. I’ve never seen it, either.

    I know.

  2. But…you don’t live in Australia….

  3. I’m beginning to think that I’m leading a very deprived existence.

Except for my kangaroos of course. Saw them again this morning, grazing down the back of my house.

How long does a normal episode go for?

  4. Never even heard of it.

    But I’d rather have kangaroos.

  5. Yeah, but I also don’t have cable. I assume this is cable?

  6. Yes, Cartoon Network (Adult Swim).

    30 minutes, Joders.

Shawn, I’m telling you, this is the least offensive episode. Some of them are really out there. But as you know, I’m also jealous of Joders’ kangaroos.

Joders, I almost feel bad for you that you’ve never seen the Boondocks. It’s comedy gold! I have both seasons on DVD. You have to watch the episode about Catcher Freeman. It’s a cross between Roots and Indiana Jones!

It can be offensive to some who have never been exposed to urban culture, but there is always a lot of truth to the message that Aaron Magruder is trying to get across. Too funny.

I’ve never seen this and I honestly don’t know what to think of it either.

    But I do love satire.

  7. Jennifer, if you love satire you MUST watch The Boondocks. Satrical genius, it is. You just have to be prepared for a barrage of foul and offensive language.
